On the occasion of the “Day of the Imprisoned Writer”, the Dublin Book Festival hosted a special event organized by PEN Ireland/PEN na hÉireann, dedicated to İlhan Sami Çomak, a Kurdish poet and political prisoner in Turkey for over twenty years. Çomak has become a symbol of resilience and creativity, continuing to nurture his art despite the confines of prison walls.
