The Comicdom Con Athens is a three-day international festival dedicated exclusively to comics and their culture. The festival is organized by the non-profit company Comicdom Press.

From 2006 to 2022, the festival was co-organized by Comicdom Press and the Hellenic American Union, with the latter’s spaces hosting the event and, occasionally, organizations such as ΟΠΑΝΔΑ and the French Institute of Greece participating as co-organizers.

In 2021 and 2022, the festival took place at Klafthmonos Square and the Hellenic American Union. Since 2023, Comicdom CON Athens has been held at INNOVATHENS, Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens (100, Pireos, Athens).

Since 2006, in an event based on the standards of similar international conventions, the Greek audience has come into contact with one of the most interesting art forms in the world, through the presence of internationally renowned creators, exhibitions, sketch events, panels, screenings, workshops, presentations of new titles by Greek comic publishers, bazaars of Greek comic stores and publishers, as well as the Greek Comics Awards (which replaced the Comicdom Awards in 2015), the prestigious awards for Greek comics, where an Academy of professionals and experts in the field honors the best of the past year.

Within the framework of Comicdom CON Athens, highly successful exhibitions of original works have been organized in collaboration with renowned international institutions such as the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, the Hergé Museum, and the Cartoon Art Museum of San Francisco. Our exhibitions have featured works by great creators such as Will Eisner, Charles Schulz, Hergé, Neal Adams, Winsor McCay, Jack Davis, Bob Kane, Brian Bolland, and others.
