“I began to understand my feelings, to know what I wanted, in my forties. But only vaguely.”
Camille Pissarro
The artist’s daughter Jeanne-Rachel, called Minette, was born in 1865 and died in Pontoise on April 6, 1874. She was a sickly child and she was treated by Dr. Paul Gachet, who also treated Van Gogh.
The original painting “Jeanne Holding a Fan” is in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, it really impressed me a lot.
