It is with great satisfaction that I announce the beginning of a collaboration with the prestigious Albicocco Printing House. During the recent Vicino/Lontano Festival in Udine, I had the privilege of working together with Albicocco Printing House on the creation of a print dedicated to Giulia Cecchettin. This work, the result of a masterfully executed artisanal process, was crafted using the techniques of etching and aquatint, employing two distinctive matrices.

The Albicocco/Santini Art Printing House, founded in the distant year of 1974 in Udine by Corrado Albicocco and Federico Santini, represents a landmark in the landscape of intaglio art printing. Over the years, this renowned printing house has had the honor of collaborating with a wide range of internationally acclaimed artists, including illustrious names such as Giuseppe Zigaina, Giuseppe Santomaso, Emilio Vedova, Jiri Kolar, and Piero Dorazio.

In 1994, Corrado Albicocco decided to embark on a new path by founding the Albicocco Art Printing House, still located in the city of Udine. This moment marked the beginning of an era of fervent collaboration with a new generation of talented artists, who brought new vigor and vitality to the world of graphic arts. Artists from workshops in Milan and Rome, as well as representatives of various schools and artistic styles, found in Albicocco a valuable ally to express their creativity.

Among the names that have enriched the repertoire of the printing house, we can mention Giovanni Frangi, Marco Petrus, Luca Pignatelli, Velasco, Piero Pizzi Cannella, Marco Tirelli, Bruno Ceccobelli, Nunzio, Stefano Di Stasio, Klaus Karl Mehrkens, and Matteo Massagrande. Not only that, but the Albicocco Printing House has also had the honor of collaborating with Carla Accardi, Kengiro Azuma, Gianfranco Ferroni, Mersad Berber, Sandro Chia, Peter Halley, Irwin, Zivko Ira Marušič, Vettor Pisani, Ercole Pignatelli, Giancarlo Vitali, David Tremlett, and Albert Merz.

This collaboration with the Albicocco Printing House represents for me an extraordinary opportunity to explore new expressive forms and to contribute to the rich artistic and cultural heritage that characterizes the city of Udine and beyond. I am grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to sharing the results of this collaboration with the public.
