Since October 7, 2023, following the Hamas attack and Israel’s reprisals, Gianluca Costantini has been creating portraits of journalists killed in Gaza. In collaboration with the CPJ in New York, he is building a visual memorial to honor their memory. The FIFDH offers an exceptional opportunity to meet the exhibition’s artist.
Artist and activist, Costantini is known for highlighting the faces of victims of injustice. His work does not restore what has been lost, but serves as a tribute to preserve the legacy of those who have testified. His portraits have been shown at protests and conferences in Atlanta, New York, Berlin, Seattle, and Washington. As in many of his projects, the drawings become tools of communication, carried by citizens demanding truth and justice, as well as a ceasefire in various regions of the world.
FIFDH The 23rd edition of the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights will take place from 7th to 16th March, 2025.
