On Sunday, May 18, I’ll have the pleasure of talking about my work at the Giardino delle Sculture in Rovereto, as part of Rovereto & Comics.
The event, titled “Comics Journalism and Activism in the Internet Age”, will be an opportunity to reflect on and discuss the challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities involved in representing social and political events through the language of graphic journalism.
Illustrated journalism doesn’t just document — it maps reality, bringing to light marginal stories, complex dynamics, and often-overlooked aspects of our present, using drawing as a tool for investigation and communication.
